...'I was in the library the other night, in the Restricted Section, and I read something rather odd about a bit of rare magic, and I thought, perhaps, you could illuminate me. It's called...'
Well, most of us are familiar with this line. Of those, who are not it is dialogue between Tom Riddle and Professor Slughorn, in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
No I haven't been reading magic, but I did come across some very rare proverbial incite that may seem like rare magic. In fact, I found within a book that most know by name but treat as such, "The Restricted Section"...The Bible!
Proverbs 18:2 states: A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.
In the US Government, a large influx of these people have infiltrated all areas; from the highest governmental position to the local community positions. There is massive amounts of "opinion" that have been adhered to as fact or by law. Most, in fact, seem to think that they have spent enough time out in the public sector that they have a clear view of want the public needs and wants. Have they? Why does it seem that in the very face of the masses laws are passed, buildings are erected, and political correctness is forced? All this is done by people who DO NOT take pleasure in understanding their constituents; but quite contrary, they expect to have their opinions heard.
According to Merriam-Webster's Dictionary fool is defined as thus: a person lacking in judgement or prudence. With that in mind, what is the limit of the foolishness in which we are consumed?
On the flip side of the coin: according to Merriam-Webster's definition of fool, how much we must be for allowing such a horrendous display and putrid institution of our country's greatest document. We have stepped aside and allowed our nation to be permeated with the very thing that it was founded to protect itself against. We need as a nation to be resolved to not allow the foolishness to continue and become proactive and be stronger where it matters most. Let's be a smarter people and protect what God has gifted us with, not just our nation but at the very core of our nation, the family.
